The Arboretum of Château de Neuvic d’Ussel is a real piece of heaven.
It was created in the first half of the XIXth century, and welcomes all nature-lovers along its 2 kilometer-long aisles.
Thanks to all the flavours, colours and sensations, this large agricultural landscape offers, thanks to the numerous tree species (more than 350) from all over the world, a sweet travel.
It’s one of the most beautiful parks in Limousin and was awarded the prestigious french label «Jardin Remarquable».
Enjoy from an english garden, an extensive meadow, winding paths and a central lake. It offers you a huge number of panoramas following different pretty landscapes.
Children are welcome and different ludic tours are proposed for families.
At the arboretum’s entrance, you will find the information in English you need to visit the park. We have documentation in English at your disposal about the park, its fabulous trees and its history. It suggests a plan to visit the park and we hope you will enjoy your visit !
During summer we regulars activities check on our page “agenda” :
Workshops of the “Volière” : discovering the park one time a week in an artistic or poetic way (land art, making an herbarium).
Visits are proposed for the kids : playing following “The Troubadours” or “Jean-Hyacinthe d’Ussel” one of the park’s creators.
We also propose you having picnic with us and sleeping listening music ….

How to get there from Limoges airport :
Go to Limoges. Once arrived at the entrance of the Limoges ring road, turn right on the boulevard du Mas-Bouyol, then boulevard de Vanteaux in direction of Toulouse to take the A20 motorway.
On the motorway drive until exit n°46.1 (Saint Pardoux-l’Ortigier) and take exit, there, drive along the D9 and then take the A89 motorway then take exit 23 in direction of Bort les Orgues. Follow the D979, cross the town of La Serre, turn right till driving up to Neuvic on D982 during 13.5km.
It will take about 1hour 49min (181km)
How to go there from Limoges station :
Drive on Cours Gay-Lussac during 95 m, take on your left Rue Aristide Briand during 70m. At the round-about, follow this street on 360 m. Take on your left Avenue des Bénédictins then Avenue Jean Gagnant, go straight away in direction of the A20 motorway. On the motorway drive until taking exit n°46.1 (Saint Pardoux-l’Ortigier), there, drive along the D9 and take the A89 motorway until taking the exit 23 in direction of Bort les Orgues. Follow D979, cross the town of La Serre, turn right till driving up to Neuvic on D982 during 13.5km.
