"The Troubadours" (8-12 years old)
The Middle Ages are those of the troubadours of Ussel family with Gui, his brothers and his cousin in the company of the beautiful Marie de Ventadour.
The children, equipped with the necessary accessories, go through the park in search of the chest containing the magic flask and the musical instrument of our troubadour. This treasure hunt is punctuated by games from the world of the troubadours.
Along the way QR codes give access to additional information on the life of Gui d’Ussel emblematic troubadour of the Limousin and the courts of love.
"Following Jean-Hyacinthe d'Ussel" (8/12 years)
We are around 1825: Jean-Hyacinthe would like to offer his grandfather a tree worth 40 gold crowns!
You will have to earn this sum from the oldest remarkable trees in the park.
Children can learn about the life of trees.with equipment worthy of an explorer: binoculars, magnifying glass and even a mirror.
"Insects invite themselves to the arboretum!" (4/8 years)
This circuit opens up the world of these fabulous and fascinating little creatures to the youngest.
"Solange la mésange" (chickadee) (5/9 years)
Discover the life of the birds that enchant our ears and brighten up our gardens…
Who is hiding in the arboretum?
Two animals are hiding in the trees of the park, one furry and one feathered. If you discover them you will get a lollipop or a candy!
Also worth seeing!
Children can admire the wild ducks, the Florida turtle that gilds itself in the sun, the goldfish forming colorful bans sometimes disturbed by the multicolored Koi carp.
Weekly summer events for children
Workshops at the Aviary
Every Tuesday morning from 10:30am to 12pm.
With an animator, the workshop is divided into two themes in alternation: the White Lady and Leaves Collection.
An adult must accompany (free admission) the children he/she registers for the activity.
Price: 8€/child, material included.
The White Lady (barn owl) is waiting for her “enplumed guests“. With the hostess, during the visit of the park where our owl nests, you will discover its hiding place and you will prepare the reception of its guests.
But who are they? You will see them in the aviary!
What will you prepare? With the help of Land–art: their nest and everything in nature that can feed them.
Collecting leaves: I suggest you go through the arboretum and collect the leaves you find beautiful, associate them with their botanical family and stick them on a support. You will leave with your herbarium!
